Mr. Yaussy appears before administrative agencies and courts of record on a wide range of environmental and natural resource issues. Some of his more recent litigation has involved NPDES and air pollution control permits, underground storage tank release liability, natural gas and coalbed methane drilling rights, and flooding lawsuits.
As counsel for the West Virginia Manufacturers Association and the West Virginia Oil & Natural Gas Association, Mr. Yaussy comments on rulemaking and advises clients on public policy issues. Negotiations with the State have included the Title V air permitting program, regulation for minor source air permits, water use and water quality standards.
