Mr. Kennedy has a nationwide federal civil and criminal appellate practice and also practices general civil and criminal litigation in the federal and state trial courts of Pennsylvania and West Virginia.  Mr. Kennedy also has experience with general corporate compliance, real estate transactions, child abuse and neglect proceedings, and non-profit law.

Mr. Kennedy’s appellate and trial litigation experience includes constitutional law, property damage, trespass, employment discrimination, personal injury, “deliberate intent,” construction, and breach of contract claims.

Mr. Kennedy represents a broad spectrum of clients from many industries, including insurance companies, retailers and construction trades.

As counsel for his church, Mr. Kennedy helped the church form its non-profit structure. Mr. Kennedy has helped other charitable organizations, religious and secular, in non-profit law and corporate compliance, as well.

In his spare time, Mr. Kennedy serves as the Mayor of Clarksburg and Post Chaplain of the Clarksburg Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He is also a past President of the Rotary Club of Clarksburg, the Harrison County YMCA, and the Kiwanis Club of Clarksburg.  Further, Mr. Kennedy is a past Vice-President of the Harrison County Senior Citizens Center and past Post Adjutant for the Veterans of Foreign Wars, as well as an FBI Citizens’ Academy graduate.

  • McDougal v. G & S Tobacco Dealers, L.L.C., 712 F.Supp.2d 488 (N.D.W.Va. 2010). Represented employer in Fair Labor Standards Act and West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act case.
