The Nature Conservancy Passes Voluntary Rural and Outdoor Heritage Conservation Act

Rob Lannan, Member, Energy & Environment, attended the ceremonial signing of Senate Bill 622 on April 2, at the West Virginia State Capitol. The bill, known as the Voluntary Rural and Outdoor Heritage Conservation Act, was passed on March 8 by the West Virginia Legislature. Led by efforts of the The Nature Conservancy, along with other partners from the conservation community, the legislation will provide dedicated funding for land conservation through the Outdoor heritage Conservation Fund. Lannan is a member of The Nature Conservancy in West Virginia's Board of Trustees; Robinson & McElwee is a founding member of the organization's Corporate Council for the Environment.
