Two attorneys have recently joined Robinson & McElwee PLLC and have been admitted to the West Virginia bar. Robinson & McElwee is excited to welcome Chelsea E. Richmond to the firm’s Charleston office, and Devan K. Flahive to the Clarksburg office.
Ms. Flahive graduated with honors from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law, and she holds a B.S. in Animal Nutrition from Cornell University. Prior to joining Robinson & McElwee, Ms. Flahive worked for the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s office where she focused on merger review in the health care sector. Ms. Flahive has also worked for Grasch Law, PSC in Lexington, Kentucky as a summer associate, and the Office of the Attorney General of Vermont’s Antitrust and Public Protection Division, as a Janet D. Steiger Fellow. Before attending law school, Ms. Flahive worked for Cargill Animal Nutrition, where she was a Dairy Cattle Nutritionist and Consultant.
Ms. Richmond returns to Robinson & McElwee after spending the summer of 2013 as a Summer Associate with the firm. Ms. Richmond holds a law degree from Washington and Lee University, and bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and History from West Virginia University. At Washington and Lee, Ms. Richmond was a Lead Article Editor for the German Law Journal, a first place winner of the 2013 Washington and Lee Client Counseling Competition and she taught Constitutional Law at William Fleming High School in Roanoke, Virginia as part of the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. Additionally, Ms. Richmond was a research assistant for a Washington and Lee law professor focused on property and environmental law. During the summer of 2012, Ms. Richmond interned for Judge Joseph C. Pomponio, in the 11th Circuit Court of West Virginia.
