- Broad appellate experience before state and federal administrative agencies and courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
- More than twenty-five years experience delivering presentations to clients and as part of professional education programs; and ten years experience as an instructor of legal research and writing at the University of Charleston.
- Former Special Assistant Corporation Counsel, New York City Law Department.
- 1990 Recipient of the West Virginia Law Review Alumnus of the Year Award.
